Visits to Outstanding Nursery Schools- Spring 2012

NAPE seeks to promote the very best opportunities for children’s learning through:

  • sharing of exemplary classroom practice;
  • bringing together groups of like minded colleagues for support and to enthuse others with a developing professionalism;
  • providing conferences with speakers of national repute;
  • publishing ‘Primary First’, a reflective and informative journal promoting the sharing of good primary practice;
  • enabling discussions about innovative teaching strategies and educational issues.

NAPE is an important voice for primary education. We influence the national debate through contact with government and its agencies.  We do this by:

  • alerting members to current consultations and seeking their views, prior to formulating a response;
  • making joint responses in the name of the Association;
  • participating in discussions at the highest level with other organisations;
  • regular media releases seeking to influence public opinion.

Members are kept up to date through the website and its regular news and views sections. They also enjoy discounted entrance to conferences.
